Viajarmos juntos

Pedro discovered his interest in drawing only after he began to write. Until then, he had refused graphic activities. When he started writing, he discovered, in a way, the power of the pencil.

Since his interests are obsessive, fitting into his behavioral patterns, Pedro develops and recreates them. It is in this context that his continuous exploration of the potential of Lego constructions and his curiosity about the visual effects that the transposition of these three-dimensional forms to drawing on paper could provide arises.

As a perfect autodidact, the sources of inspiration for his artistic creations are varied and diverse: from a small manual for a basic Lego box to media and information sources such as magazines, TV, and the internet. The drawing and painting classes he has been taking for about a year have sharpened his critical spirit and the desire to evolve towards more elaborate constructions, such as those exhibited here, of large motor racing grandstands and others. Even though he persists in the sometimes exhaustive repetition of pictorial motifs, he varies within the same theme and even introduces new themes and centers of interest in his drawings from time to time.

His journey through the arts has become a decisive pursuit for Pedro's personal development, leading him to embrace notions such as sharing and recognition by accepting to exhibit his work. This proof of trust that Pedro has given us allows for a sharing, an interaction that is not only very important for Pedro, but for all of us and for the construction of a community that we intend to be inclusive.

We highlight, in his artistic career, his participation in collective exhibitions of ANACED and in the exhibition "Olhares de Dentro" (Inner Gaze), at the CCC in Torres Vedras.
