Post-It

Posters, as their very definition suggests, are large-format paper notices containing information and displayed in public places. Therefore, their function is specific and surrounded by inescapable rules. Design does not aim to dictate these rules, but rather to awaken them.

This exhibition brought together various types of works that, coincidentally and mostly, share a common denominator: rock.

The 1990s were marked by a type of language that proved revolutionary in its techniques and in the relationships between forms and images, creating a graphic impact on our lives.

The typography used in these posters fulfills the function of illustration while simultaneously informing us; that is, it does not have a neutral character as it would on the pages of a book.

This exhibition, as well as these works, makes sense in a panorama where reflection, discussion, and dissemination of graphic design are generally deficient, making it an invisible art in our country.
