Pecados Capitais

The works presented in this exhibition interpret the seven deadly sins in the form of seven virtues. They employ an esoteric approach through the use of composition and color palette, a balanced unity of treatment, and a Freudian-inspired representation of the human body. The posture and gestures of the characters in relation to the subject matter may at first seem grotesque on the surface, but sublime in depth. Thus, the author brings to our eyes, our perception, our appreciation, and the activity of our intelligence, an ancient theme imposed biblically, treated in a completely modern way.
