PARQUE is the name given to this exhibition, which derives from a mnemonic exercise based on the affective experience of a place. This place is a public space in the city of Torres Vedras: the Parque Verde da Várzea (Green Park of Várzea).

What I do with this exhibition is to transform this public territory into a personal territory, documented through my experience, over the course of a year, in this same place.

Autumn, Spring, Summer, and again Autumn to close a cycle.

It was in the autumn of 2015 that, during my almost daily walks through the park, I casually began to record the chromatic beauty of that season using my cell phone camera. But it was only in February that the seed of this exhibition developed in my mind. From that moment on, my observation of the nature that surrounded me became more documentary and focused. I also began at that time to make small notes in a notebook, of some moments and thoughts experienced there.

This exhibition, while not establishing any abrupt break with the exhibition I presented in November 2008, "Trees are the arms that hold up the sky," ends up reorienting it in a direction where the biographical, the (natural) cycles of nature, and the passage of time walk side by side. Unlike the other series of works, these represented trees are not the product of my imagination or images from books that I have appropriated. (Now) these trees actually exist in reality. I have already observed, photographed, and touched them.

The exhibition "Parque" thus has at its essence the documentation of a chronological visual diary, on various surfaces, techniques, and words, about a place where I like to breathe and find myself.
