O Negativo e A Composição, A Cópia e A Execução

As Ansel stated, photography and music share similarities in terms of compositional processes and the execution of a passage or image. The negative resembles the original score; the paper copy, enlarged or not, resembles the musical performance of the work.

Just as in music, in photography I seek harmony and beauty of lines, always incorporating some improvisation.

Black and white allows for great flexibility in the interpretation of the image, whether in previewing or in the developing and enlarging phase in the laboratory.

My choice of this "environment" of gray tones is related to technical and aesthetic issues, since I usually "preview" all photographs in gray tones and not in color.
