Lanzarote: A janela de Saramago

“Lanzarote - Saramago's Window” is a diary/notebook about the writer's sensory and passionate gaze, seen and filtered through the eyes of a photographer who was in Lanzarote in 1998 to portray him, and who returns 15 years later to capture new images and feel what that land, in the middle of the ocean, represented for the only Nobel Prize winner in Literature in the Portuguese language.

“Lanzarote - Saramago's Window” is a visual and sound exhibition/installation, composed of black and white and sepia photographs interacting with phrases by José Saramago. The exhibition also features a sound installation in which we hear the voice of José Saramago, integrated into a musical score created for the exhibition by Cindy Kat.
