Laboratório do Lugar – Exhibition of the Ideas Competition

From August 16th to October 26th, Santa Cruz hosted the exhibition of ideas from the "Laboratório do Lugar" (Place Laboratory) competition.

This exhibition presented 27 proposals from 3rd-year Spatial Design students at the Caldas da Rainha School of Arts and Design for the construction of an ephemeral structure for a platform adjacent to the Júlio Vieira Staircase in Santa Cruz.

The objective of this competition was to create an ephemeral structure that would mark this place and, in an innovative way, provide it with the necessary conditions to be a meeting and sharing space for the Santa Cruz community.

The 27 proposals, as well as the winning proposal and respective honorable mentions, were revealed in the "Laboratório do Lugar" truck at the Parque de Jogos (Games Park) in Santa Cruz.
