Infinito

This exhibition by Antero Valério is a double return. A simultaneous return to the work of painting and also to the sharing of this painting with the viewer. It is also a double exhibition that unfolds around two different categories of production: a series of medium-sized paintings, approximately 120x90 cm, and a set of small paintings, approximately 30 cm on each side.

Antero Valério's painting arises from an overlay of layers of meaning that accompany the sedimentation of the materials that accumulate in his work. It is a painting in which the process is present, in which the gesture is made visible, and in which matter becomes surface. It is also an interrogation of painting itself and its limits.
