Carla Cabanas's series of stories combines this oscillation between reality and fiction. Words and images. The words, despite belonging to concrete fragments of childhood, tell stories that time has rendered uncertain. The images, here, do not present their scientific, optical, mechanical efficacy that the camera (another "memory box") was designed to record. Words and images. We are invited to approach to read the former, but to step back to see the latter. We perpetuate this cycle of what is remembered and what is forgotten.
