Empty Stages

17.01.2015 — 06.04.2015

In many ways, we are tempted to think of these images as photographs of a spectacle, if only because looking at them makes us imagine what might happen on them. There are stages with scattered debris and others completely clean, others occupied with materials from some future event, and still others full of objects that have no obvious connection to the show. Looking at these images is a matter of expectation – the empty stage awaiting your action, like a blank page or an empty computer screen waiting for words.
