Nanã Sousa Dias“These are twelve large-format photographs of a sunset we recognize, one we have learned to identify throughout our lives, and one we need to revisit as if it were a friend.
This is our horizon line, so similar and yet so different from so many others, with which we share our dreams, our hopes, our fears. A horizon that extends into the silhouette of the imposing cliffs, traversed by us on so many occasions, and in the rocks that carry the sea breeze that envelops and purifies us.
These are twelve black and white photographs, perhaps more black than white, where one feels the multiple yellowish-browns of the rocks as one glimpses the many blues that form the infinite and so many white, indigo wisps of the clouds that anticipate tomorrow and fix our gaze on this coast that is “our coast,” between Porto Novo and Assenta.
These are twelve photographs that Nanã Sousa Dias, from Torres Vedras, with his wisdom and talent, offers for the enjoyment of each of us, a collection that being…” Our sunset will be shared with friends who, having seen other sunsets, can appreciate and feel ours.
This is our sunset!
