Landscape photography, in its origins, has two characteristics that still seem to surround a large part of its contemporary reception: on the one hand, the notion of the paradisiacal landscape, imbued with sublime romanticism, and on the other, as an object that provides a visual metaphor for the author's emotions at the moment of its recording. It can serve as an illustration of the timeless virtues of nature or as a representation of landscape photography beyond virtuosity, aesthetic formalism, or self-reflection, without this act resulting in a rejection or disintegration of these concepts.

Aiming to question the way in which the representation of the landscape, and even the landscape itself, is appreciated, pairs of images were created, taken at 180 degrees to each other.
